ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Anthony Rao joined The Massachusetts Law Group following an impressive career at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division. During his time at the Department of Revenue, Anthony handled hundreds of complex child support cases at both the Essex County and Middlesex County Probate and Family Courts.
Of late, Attorney Rao is handling paternity and divorce cases, along with matters relating to modification, contempt, out-of-state divorce issues, and restraining orders. Additionally, Mr. Rao guards each of the firm's clients against the most common divorce dangers and has become our resident expert relating to all aspects of Massachusetts child support and alimony law.
No other attorney at our firm is more of a zealous advocate for establishing, collecting, and enforcing child support than Anthony. Attorney Rao is a staunch advocate for employing such remedies as automatic increases of support for past-due obligors, encumbering real estate, levying bank accounts, intercepting unemployment and worker's compensation checks, and reporting delinquent parents to the different national credit reporting agencies.
Attorney Rao's success dates back to the early-to-mid 2000's. Immediately following a victory for one of his clients in the Suffolk Probate and Family Court, the opposing party went before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Ultimately, Anthony's decision was upheld, leaving his client feeling as if she had been heard and that justice was served.
Prior to working at DOR, Anthony Rao worked at the law firm of Messing, Rudavsky & Weliky in Boston. He is a Suffolk University Law School graduate where he was both recognized and honored for his superb oral advocacy and trial skills.
